The Travelers Award is given for participation in riding events during the year to encourage frequent participation in our events and to reward those that do.

All SCMA weekend events and selected Affiliated Club events are approved by the SCMA board each year as qualifying Traveler Award events. For 2012 there are 14 designating qualifying events and a number of make-up events.

Riders completing 14 Travelers Award events receive a free ticket to the 2013 Awards and Appreciation Banquet.

2012 TRAVELERS AWARD RULES

Participants must register at an event and travel its designated route (first day of a multi-day events) on a motorcycle, trike, or sidecar. Participants must check-in at the start, checkpoint(s) and finish. Participants must arrive at the finish before the event closes. Participants may be asked to obtain a gas or other receipt at a midpoint. Some events are “destination only” and therefore require check-in at the finish only. Sign-up for the annual Travelers Award is available at the beginning of any qualifying event. Find the TA Chairman. The annual fee for the Travelers Award is $10. You will be issued a wallet card for the year.

MAKE-UP EVENTS

One (only) SCMA Premier Event can be substituted as a qualifying Travelers Award event during a single calendar.

AWARDS

Seven (7) completed Travelers Award Events: event pin Nine (9) completed Travelers Award Events: event pin, certificate, and a reserved spot for a 2013 Three Flags Classic ticket. (This means a participant bypasses the annual drawing for riding tickets but must still pay the full entry fee).
Fourteen (14) completed Travelers Award Events: All the above plus one free 2013 SCMA Awards and Appreciation Banquet ticket.
